Cold pressing: material---sifting---oil pressing
The first step is to sift the oil plant and remove the impurities, and then test the moisture content of oil plants. For example, a local method can be used to test the rape seed for pressing: squeeze the rape seed by nail; if it has sound and divided into two pieces, or it has oil exceeded from it, it is suitable for pressing at this time. If it becomes powdery, it means too dry; if it becomes cakes, it means too damp. If it is too dry, 2.5-3% water content should be added, and wait for a moment, then the material are put into the oil press directly.
Hot pressing: material---sifting---heating(steaming,ect)—oil pressing
For example, pressing rape seed, the rape seed are put into the sifting to remove the impurities. Then the materials are put into the roaster and enter into the roaster to heat, adding 2-3% water content into the roaster during heating process. When the rape seed has brown color and the temperature is up to 110-120 degree, the material can be put into the
oil press.
In fact, the most important distinction between cold pressing and hot pressing lay on whether the oily plant are cooked or not. Certainly, the hot pressing has high oil output from the cold pressing. But for sunflower, it is necessary to press though cold pressing. Or the machine can not work.
